Young Scholar Best Paper Award

The International Scientific Committee establishes a Young Scholar Best Paper Award. The purpose of this award is to encourage young researchers to work in the field of game theory and its applications. In order to be eligible, award applicants must meet the following conditions:

  • They must be under 28 at the last day of the conference.
  • They must send a complete version of their paper to the chair of the International Scientific Committee (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.; subject: GTA 2022 Best Paper Award) 30 days prior to the conference.
  • They present the paper at the conference in person.

The International Scientific Committee appoints a jury of at least three persons. The jury determines the award winner on the basis of both the quality of the paper and of the quality of the presentation. The winner will be presented with a certificate and a refund of the registration fee of the conference. The jury may come to the conclusion that no submission deserves to be awarded. In that case, no winner will be declared.

History

The first International Conference “Game Theory and Applications” took place in Qingdao, China in 2002 as a satellite event of the International Congress of Mathematicians ICM 2002 held in Beijing and was very successful and fruitful. Among keynote speakers were Nobel Memorial Prize laureates Robert Aumann (2005), John Nash (1994), Reinhard Selten (1994), and Lloyd Shapley (2012).

This conference was organized by Qingdao University, China in cooperation with Saint Petersburg State University, Russia. The honorary chair of the international scientific committee was Prof. Robert Aumann (Hebrew University of Jerusalem), the chair of the international scientific committee was Prof. Leon Petrosyan (Saint Petersburg State University), whereas Prof. Hongwei Gao (Qingdao University) was the chair of the organizing committee.
